Shu Zhen Bernardin, M.A. currently serves as the Executive Director of Alumni and Annual Engagement at Nova Southeastern University, where she leads strategic planning and program development for the university’s alumni relations and annual giving efforts. She brings more than 15 years of progressive experience in higher education advancement, with a demonstrated track record in donor relations, annual giving, and stewardship.

Since joining NSU in 2022, Shu has held key leadership roles, including Director of Annual Giving and Director of Development. Prior to joining NSU, she worked at St. John’s University in New York, New York University, and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Shu holds both a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts and a Master of Arts in Sociology from St. John’s University.
