Job Summary:





Stranahan House is Broward County’s oldest and most historically significant surviving structure. Built in 1901, the site is where the City of Fort Lauderdale began. Today, the historic House operates as a museum, educational center, and event venue.


The Historic Stranahan House Museum team is searching for a Marketing Associate and Gift Shop Manager to help plan for the organization’s future. This position is responsible for overseeing the museum’s gift shop, producing museum social media and email campaigns, maintaining the museum’s website, and supporting all aspects of museum programming. This person will support the Executive Director and outside Public Relations firm in planning and implementing marketing efforts for museum programs, special events, and other projects.


The perfect candidate will work well as part of a team as well as be able to work independently toward a common goal. Applicant should enjoy opportunities to be creative, interact with diverse audiences, and professional development. The Marketing Associate and Gift Shop Manager will be responsible inventory management, graphic design work, goal setting, and evaluation while overseeing a passionate team of volunteers. This position requires close attention to detail and problem solving skills. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. 


This is a full-time position. Schedule will include night and weekend work based on museum programs.  Willing to train the right person.
