On
November 11, 2009, the Fort Lauderdale / Broward
Chapter of The Association of Fundraising Professionals
celebrated its 22nd Annual National Philanthropy
Day Luncheon honoring individuals and organizations
for their significant philanthropic contributions
to our community.
Each
November during National Philanthropy Week, the
Fort Lauderdale/Broward Chapter of the Association
of Fundraising Professionals joins national and
international colleagues to celebrate individuals
and organizations that have dedicated themselves
to philanthropy.
We
host one of the oldest and largest National Philanthropy
Day celebrations in the country, with over 700
attendees.
This
year marked our 22nd celebration of National Philanthropy
Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Signature
Grand. Community leaders, non-profit organizations,
volunteers, and donors gathered to honor outstanding
philanthropic leaders, who have invested their
passion, time, talents, and financial support
to better their community.
In
addition to seven major awards, thirty-five not-for-profit
organizations provided recognition to key volunteers
and donors. Year after year, attendees have commented
that they feel invigorated by the stories they
hear.
Thank
you to all of our National Philanthropy Day Sponsors
