Each
November the Fort Lauderdale/Broward Chapter of
the Association of Fundraising Professionals joins
national and international colleagues to celebrate
individuals and organizations that have dedicated
themselves to philanthropy.
We
host one of the oldest and largest National Philanthropy
Day celebrations in the country, with over 700
attendees.
This
year marks our 21st celebration of National
Philanthropy Day on Thursday, November 13, 2008,
at the Signature Grand.
Community leaders, non-profit organizations, volunteers,
and donors will gather to honor outstanding philanthropic
leaders, who have invested their passion, time,
talents, and financial support to better their
community.
We
encourage you to nominate this year’s awardees
for outstanding philanthropic corporation, small
business, foundation, organization, individual,
family, and youth.
This
is also a chance for non-profit organizations
to inspire their own key volunteers and donors.
Year after year, attendees have commented that
they feel invigorated by the stories they hear.
We encourage you to honor your volunteers and
donors by hosting them at the luncheon. Your mission
is sure to benefit from their renewed energy and
passion.
