Monthly Luncheons

 

The AFP Education program is committed to providing our membership with presentations on timely and relative topics discussed by acclaimed professionals. Luncheons are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Signature Grand in Davie. A different speaker presents each month, providing insight and expertise on subject matters important to fundraising professionals of all levels. Topics have included evaluating sponsorships, attracting high-net donors, connecting grantors and grantees, and assessing your fundraising needs, to name a few.

AFP March 2012 Luncheon

The CEO-CDO partnership directly impacts an organization’s capacity to raise money. It is important for the CEO to understand the powerful role s/he plays in relationship building, solicitation, and stewardship. It is equally important for the CDO to understand how to effectively serve the CEO and set her/him up for successful experiences. Often times there are hidden obstacles and gaps between reality and best practice. In this session we will talk about how to identify those obstacles and gaps and how to set the stage for success.
