Carol McKeever is Director of Development for Lighthouse of Broward, whose mission is to teach skills to babies, children and adults who are blind or severely visually impaired. Carol has served as chapter Vice President in 2009, Vice President of Membership 2007 & 2008 and on the National Philanthropy Day Committee 2006 -2009.

Meredith Ray Feder serves as the Associate Director of Advancement for Gulliver Schools, a private preparatory school in Miami-Dade. Prior to holding her current position, Meredith served in various development roles for Starlight Children’s Foundation, Lee’s Place, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Ballet and Pensacola Museum of Art. She received her MA from Florida State University, her BA from University of West Florida and a certificate in the Appraisal of Fine and Decorative Art from New York University.

Don Eachus is Director of Development for the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation and Memorial Foundation. Don has served as Treasurer, Secretary and Director of Communications for the chapter. He currently serves as President Elect of the chapter. Don lives in Plantation with his wife, 2 daughter, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Janet began her career in direct response fund raising as a list broker in New York City. The U.S. Committee for UNICEF was her next stop. She spent three years a part of the team that built the direct mail program from the ground up. Then it was back to the service side as Vice President of Direct Media List Management, and agency experience with The Russ Reid Company in Pasadena, CA. Janet then started KeyWord, a company that created and produced personalized mailings to major donors. One more move brought Janet to Florida and Food For The Poor. During the next five years, she increased the donor base from 250,000 to over a million, increased revenue every year by double digits – the last year we achieved a 37% increase over the previous year and set into motion programs and strategies still being applied successfully today. In 1998 Janet and Sean O’Neil founded Copland O’Neil, a full service direct response agency, serving prominent non-profits: ASPCA, Plan USA, and Habitat for Humanity, as well as, many fine local organizations. In 2008 Janet and Sean along with Rod Taylor and Larry Montali started Starfish Marketing Group to provide high quality direct mail services in small quantities. Janet is recognized as an industry leader and is a frequent speaker locally, as well as, nationally.

Eric Combast is the Development Director for the International Game Fish Association. He is currently overseeing the IGFA's "Campaign for Game Fish Conservation," which is a $15,000,000 fundraising campaign to support game fish conservation and education. Prior to joining the IGFA Eric was the Vice President of Development for the Alzheimer's Association, Southeast Florida Chapter.

Paul Keefe is the Director of Planned Gifts for HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, a not-for-profit hospice serving Broward, Dade & Monroe counties. He has been in the medical field for seven years, five of them at hospice in both his present capacity as well as community outreach. Paul is from upstate NY (Albany-Saratoga region) and has been in south Florida since 1986. Prior to his work in the medical field, he owned and ran a franchise business for 12 years in south Florida. Paul attended Union College & SUNY in upstate NY receiving a BS in Business from Trinity Southern. Paul lives in Pompano Beach with his son, Paulie and is active in several civic and community organizations.

In his 29 year career, Rick has worked in health care, higher education and public safety. He is a generalist with a strong background in foundation administration, case development and in managing those things that need to be reduced to order in order to raise money. Rick now works for his synagogue as a one-person shop -- coordinating an endowment campaign, creating a supporting foundation and putting annual fund programs into place. Rick has served the AFP Broward Chapter as Treasurer, Chair of National Philanthropy Day and done all sorts of other stuff for the advancement of the profession. He was recognized by the chapter as the 2009 Outstanding Fundraising Professional.

Tracy Schuldiner has worked in the philanthropy field professionally for over five years and many more as a volunteer throughout the community.  She is currently the Director of Community Relations & Development for the Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation and working on her Bachelor in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Psychology at Barry University.  In addition, her experiences include organizational management, customer service, sales, marketing, and family care within the funeral industry. She has completed her certificate in Nonprofit Management in cooperation with Barry University, is a graduate of an International Coaching Federation accredited program, Grief Recovery Specialist, etc.  In addition to her work with AFP Broward for the last three years, she has served as an Executive Committee Member of the Work-Life Balance Educational Conference for the past few years and Affiliate Director of the Balance Power Networking Lunches in Miami-Dade.  She is passionate about supporting local foundations such as Work Life Balance Institute for Women, WomenUnited and MS Bright Lights.

Jose Lopez Masso, a native of Venezuela, with over twelve years experience in the non profit sector, spent most of his youth in Germany, where his father served as a Venezuelan ambassador in East Germany. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Business School of Hamburg and a Juries Doctorate from Catolica University Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. Upon graduation, he became the legal advisor to the president of a Venezuelan investment fund before being appointed Sub Secretary of Justice for the Venezuelan government. He was then assigned to head the embassy in Berlin and settled into the same office used by his father a decade earlier, only in a unified Germany. He moved to Florida in 2001. Jose lives in Deerfield, with his wife Carla, guide dog Clemens, and new baby girl Andrea.

Lori E. Gold has been principal of the consulting company that bears her name for almost 20 years, having previously worked with financial institutions, health care entities and other organizations in New York, DC and on three continents. Working with not-for-profits for the last decade, her areas of concentration are in fund development (with emphasis on grants), program development and organizational and board issues. Lori holds a BA from Columbia University/Barnard College, an MBA from New York University/Stern School of Business, and recently earned a 3-year national certification in Grantsmanship from the American Association of Grant Professionals.

Doris K. Sipos, MA, CFREhas worked in the field of philanthropy for over 30 years and has raised more than 100 million dollars for the non-profit community, working primarily in higher education and healthcare. She is the co-founder of the Partnership In Philanthropy, which enables small non-profits to enhance their capacity to serve the community. Doris retired in 2002 as Executive Director of the Memorial Foundation and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation, in Hollywood, Florida, and founded a consulting firm, Philanthropic Development Solutions. A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Doris has served on the National Board of Directors of the organization, as well as on its Foundation Board. She has been honored by her peers with the Robert J. Smythe Award as Outstanding Professional Fundraiser in New Jersey, and was honored as Outstanding Professional Fundraiser in Broward County, Florida, in 2002.

Peggy Hooper is the Director of Estate Planning for Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe Counties and the Eastern area of the North Region of the Florida Division of the American Cancer Society. Prior to joining the American Cancer Society, Florida Division, Peggy was a Financial Planner with Morgan Stanley, and with Paine Webber on the New York Stock Exchange, giving her valuable knowledge and experience in estate planning and charitable giving.

Lisa Kitei has been Executive Director of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation and VP Development for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts since February 2008. She is primarily responsible for the development, planning and implementation of fundraising strategy in support of the Broward Center. Prior to that, Lisa was vice president, corporate communications, for JM Family Enterprises where she was responsible for overseeing and facilitating internal and external communications, media and public relations, corporate events, charitable giving, community affairs, corporate advertising and video communications for JM Family and its subsidiary companies. .Before joining JM Family, she was senior vice president, corporate communications and public relations for Reed Business Information. With over 20 years experience in marketing and communications, Lisa spent more than nine years with The Walt Disney Company. Active in the community, she serves on the Executive Committee of the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Broward County and a member of the National Council on Planned Giving. Lisa was on the Steering Committee for the inaugural Governor’s Bowl to benefit United Way of Broward. She is a graduate of both Leadership Florida (Class XXIII) and Leadership Broward Senior Executive Orientation (2004). Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. Previously from New York City, she now lives in Fort Lauderdale.

Matt began his career teaching children with autism how to swim. Thirty years (and several gray hairs) later, he is now responsible for marketing and development at ARC Broward where he has been employed for four years. Previously Paul was Vice President of Programs for ADEC a similar organization in Northern Indiana about two hours from Chicago. Throughout his career Matt has been responsible for multiple services for people with disabilities and has always had a passion for assisting others. ARC Broward is a non-profit organization, with a staff of over 450 caring individuals.

Prior to working in the charitable area, Diana and her husband owned Flightplan International, an aviation consulting and brokerage firm.  During that time, she was involved on a volunteer level with several organizations, becoming President of PAWS and the 1000+ Club of the ACS.  The volunteer experience gave her a valuable insight when dealing with donors and volunteers.  Prior to joining Junior Achievement, Diana worked for the American Red Cross Broward County. Kathy is Regional Director of Development for Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida and Legal Aid Service of Collier County. Before joining Legal Aid, Kathleen was Director of Sales and Marketing for Budget Rent a Car in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and St. Louis, Missouri. Kathleen has been a member of AFP/Broward County Chapter since 2003 and prior to serving as Treasurer, participated in National Philanthropy Day by serving as Co-chair of Table Honorees for two years.

Prior to assuming his current position at Florida Atlantic University, Avy served for five and a half years as Director of Development at the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Florida International University. He also has extensive development experience working for Jewish community organizations in South Florida as well as in the Midwest and Northeast .Currently, a member of Broward/Ft Lauderdale and Palm Beach Chapters of the AFP, he has also previously served as a Board member of the Miami-Dade Chapter. Avy received his BA in Economics from Yeshiva University and a Masters Degree in Community Organization from the University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work. He and his wife Bonnie (an Occupational Therapist for the Broward School District) live in Hollywood and are the very proud grandparents of five grandsons.

David has been at the GLCC/Pride Center since 2008. He splits his time between event planning/execution of monthly Founder Circle events as well as promoting and tracking general membership for the agency. Since 1994 the GLCC/Pride center has served as the central meeting point for the diverse GLBTQ community in Greater Fort Lauderdale. Previous to this position David spent 28 years in the real estate field in both sales and management. David held Board level positions in many non profits in both Boston and Fort Lauderdale, most recently at the Jewish Foundation of Broward County. David completed the AFP Fundamentals in Fund Raising course in 2007 prior to a summer internship that year in Planned Giving at the Massachusetts College of Art, where he received his BFA in Art Education, back in 1978. He received his Masters Degree in Business Management from Lesley College, Boston in 1991. David has resided in the Fort Lauderdale area since 2001.
