We are here for you as a trusted resource, bringing international trends and a local community of professionals to your professional world. We are your local connection to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), an international organization that works to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, professional certification, a code of ethical principles and standards of professional practice.
Our chapter links a dynamic group of fundraising professionals, from newcomers to the field to veterans with more than 20 years experience. Whether you are a member of a large development team or a one-person office, AFP Fort Lauderdale/Broward County is here to support you.
The AFP Education program is committed to providing our membership with presentations on timely and relative topics discussed by acclaimed professionals. Luncheons are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Signature Grand in Davie. A different speaker presents each month, providing insight and expertise on subject matters important to fundraising professionals of all levels.
AFP’s signature event of the year is National Philanthropy Day. This annual event honors individuals and organizations for their significant philanthropic contributions to our community. It is an opportunity for non-profits to recognize leaders in the community whose efforts, passion, and gifts have advanced philanthropy to the highest levels of giving. Non-profit organizations also have the opportunity to nominate supporters.
